Job summary

EliteHire Placement Solutions in India seeks a Manager Design & Development to lead the transmission line tower design and detailing, review structural calculations, and coordinate approvals with clients. The role requires 15–23 years of experience in civil or mechanical and a B.Tech/B.E. with strong AutoCAD/ERP skills.

Annual bonus and mobile allowance are provided. The incumbent will drive BOM accuracy, optimize steel usage, mentor engineers, and ensure on-time project delivery with QA/QC

Qualifications

• 15–23 years of experience in design and development leadership of transmission line towers.
• Graduate in B.Tech/B.E (Civil or Mechanical).
• Strong capabilities in detailing, BOM preparation, and client drawing approvals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and detailing of transmission line towers, review structural calculations, and coordinate with consultants and clients for approvals.
• Proto assembly and shop drawings control; ensure error-free release to production and maintain revision control.
• Review BOMs, optimize material usage and coordinate with procurement for material needs.
• Provide technical clarifications to production teams; approve design changes during manufacturing; ensure QA/QC compatibility.
• Participate in client meetings, obtain drawing approvals, and support project execution during inspections.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through design optimization and standardization; mentor junior engineers.

Transmission Line Tower Design

Job Purpose

To lead the complete Design & Drawing Department responsible for structural design validation, tower detailing, BOM preparation, customer drawing approvals, optimization of steel consumption, and technical support for manufacturing, QA/QC, procurement, and project execution while ensuring compliance with customer specifications and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the design and detailing of transmission line towers. Review and approve structural calculations and design outputs. Coordinate with consultants and clients for design approvals. Validate tower geometry, member sizing, and connection details. Prototype development.
2. Proto assembly and related shop drawings. Ensure drawings are error‑free before release to production. Maintain revision control and drawing documentation.
3. Review and approve BOMs. Optimize material utilization to reduce steel consumption. Ensure accurate member weights and quantities. Coordinate with procurement for material requirements.
4. Provide technical clarification to production teams. Resolve fabrication‑related design issues. Approve design modifications during manufacturing. Coordinate with QA/QC for dimensional and fabrication compliance.
5. Attend technical meetings with clients and consultants. Obtain timely approval of drawings. Support project execution teams during client inspections.
6. Identify opportunities for cost reduction through optimized design. Improve fabrication efficiency through standardization. Develop innovative design solutions without compromising structural safety. Reduce fabrication complexity and wastage.
7. Team leadership: lead Design Engineers, Detailing Engineers, CAD Engineers, and Draftsmen. Allocate work and monitor productivity. Review technical deliverables. Train and mentor junior engineers. Conduct performance evaluations and competency development.

Software Skills
