Indo Chains in Raipur is seeking a Design Engineer to join the on-site engineering team. You will contribute to mechanical design, drafting, 3D modelling, and GD&T to ensure manufacturing feasibility and performance criteria are met.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering with hands-on SolidWorks and FEA knowledge, and a strong eye for detail. This role focuses on designing material handling components and collaborating with the engineering team.

• Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and related design software.
• Preferably experience in designing material handling equipment.

Job Responsibilities

1. Proficiency in 2D drafting and 3D modelling.
2. Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings.
3. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) parameters.
4. Proficiency in SolidWorks software is mandatory.
5. Determine the appropriate dimensions, specifications, and materials for products.
6. Perform engineering calculations and analyse product strength and load-bearing capacity.
7. Prepare and submit daily progress reports to the Head of Department (HOD).
8. Develop and modify designs as per technical requirements and product specifications.
9. Ensure the accuracy and feasibility of designs for manufacturing and practical applications.

Required Knowledge and Skills

1. Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and related design software.
2. Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), including stress analysis and load-bearing capacity.
3. Understanding of different engineering materials and their properties.
4. Preferably experienced in designing material handling equipment and components such as:
