Job summary

BIBUS India in Bengaluru invites a Design Engineer to join its engineering team. You will translate customer requirements into high-quality design solutions, develop 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk and SolidWorks, and contribute to machine frames, conveyors, and enclosures.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 1–2 years of experience in mechanical design and drafting, GD&T, and design for automation. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in mechanical design and drafting.
• Proven expertise in Autodesk or SolidWorks (or related design tools).
• Practical experience with design systems or modular assemblies.
• Strong understanding of design principles, fabrication, and assembly techniques.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing, and industrial design standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design machine frames, conveyors, and enclosures using aluminium profiles and components.
• Prepare and manage BOMs and part lists for production.

• Evaluate feasibility and provide cost-optimized design solutions.
• Incorporate design changes based on feedback from clients and internal teams.
• Participate in design and project reviews; share technical insights.
• Research new materials, technologies, and design methods to improve efficiency.
• Support prototype development and testing to validate performance and compliance.
• Ensure designs meet engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality guidelines.
• Provide design support to engineering, manufacturing, and assembly teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PM, production, and procurement.
• Maintain organized project files, design docs, and revision records.
• Stay updated on design trends and software advancements.
