Job summary

Gravity Business Process is seeking engineers to design complete industrial solutions, including fire and gas systems, control and monitoring systems, and field equipment. You will develop system architectures, select enclosures, instruments, and networking accessories, and ensure designs are production, installation, testing, and maintenance ready.

The role emphasizes creating electrical schematics, power and control diagrams, and BOMs, while coordinating with customers and suppliers to deliver

Job description

Role & responsibilities
System & Detailed Design
  • Design complete industrial solutions, including fire and gas systems, control and monitoring systems, remote I/O, wireless instrumentation, communication gateways, power distribution, battery-backed, and solar-powered field systems.
  • Develop system architecture, functional concepts, and practical technical solutions based on customer specifications, project scope, and applicable standards.
  • Select suitable enclosures, instruments, controllers, I/O, power supplies, batteries, protection devices, terminals, cable glands, communication equipment, and accessories.
  • Ensure designs are suitable for production, installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and future modification.
Engineering Drawings and Documentation:
  • Prepare cabinet and panel general arrangements, front views, internal arrangements, mounting-plate layouts, DIN-rail and cable-duct layouts, door layouts, and mechanical interface drawings.
  • Design field cabinets, junction boxes, local control panels, field stations, supports, brackets, cable-entry arrangements, terminal layouts, gland layouts, antenna mounting, and instrument installation details.
  • Prepare electrical schematics, power and control diagrams, AC/DC distribution, battery, UPS and solar connections, grounding and bonding, relay logic, safety circuits, interconnection drawings, loop diagrams, I/O drawings, , RS485/Modbus and Industrial Network diagrams.
  • Maintain bills of materials, equipment lists, I/O lists, instrument indexes, cable and termination schedules, terminal plans, load lists, calculations, document registers, manufacturing drawings, and as-built documentation.
Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Plan assigned engineering activities, estimate hours, define deliverables and milestones, maintain drawing and document registers, and report progress, risks, and technical issues.
  • Coordinate technical inputs and clarifications with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, procurement, production, testing, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Support smaller projects or engineering work packages, including schedule follow-up, action lists, budget or hour control, customer comments, and project close-out.
Production, Testing, and Site Support:
  • Issue production-ready documentation, answer technical questions, review assembly and wiring, resolve deviations, and improve standard designs and manufacturing methods.
  • Support design reviews, continuity and wiring checks, power-up, I/O and communication tests, loop testing, FAT, customer inspections, commissioning, and preparation of final as-built documentation.
