Job summary

Senior India Private Limited, a 100% subsidiary of Senior Plc UK, seeks a seasoned mechanical engineer with 8–12 years in automotive/Exhaust systems. You will apply CATIA V5 to part and assembly design, perform GD&T planning, and drive APQP and ECR/ECN processes while coordinating with multiple internal teams.

Experience with FEA, PLM Enovia, and EGR-related systems is preferred. Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering is required; exposure to IATF 16949 is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering with 8 to 12 years of experience (preferable from automobile industry).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design process improvements and work standardization.
• Coordinate with internal departments to drive APQP.
• Understand customer requirements and implement them.
• Support GD&T, APQP, DVP, DFMEA and ECR/ECN processes.
• Apply knowledge of CATIA V5 in part/assembly design and surface design.

Senior India Private Limited is a 100% subsidiary of Senior Plc UK. Senior India was established in 1993 under the name of Inalsa Flexonics that was taken over by the Senior Group in 1998. Senior India is a manufacturer of Automotive Flexible Exhaust Connectors (Bellow and Interlock types), SS Bellows, EGR coolers, Fuel rails, EGR tubes, Turbo Oil Drains, Turbo Oil Feeds and Low-Pressure Lines etc.

• Hands on experience of CATIA V5: Part Design, Assembly Design, Surface Design, Drafting & Parametric design
• Hands on experience of Engineering BOM creation and benchmarking with part cost understanding
• Working knowledge of product feasibility, GD&T, APQP, DVP, DFMEA, ECR/ECN, Document control
• Able to understand customer requirements, procedures and implement them
• Coordination with internal departments in driving APQP
• Contribute to the design process improvements, work stabilization and work standardization

• Knowledge of FEA simulation and IATF 16949
• Knowledge of sheet manufacturing processes, material and testing standards
• Knowledge of PLM Enovia
• Knowledge of Automotive Exhaust, EGR cooler and Turbo systems
