Job summary

PRECIOUS ELEMENTS in Bengaluru seeks an experienced CAD drafter to create detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for retail fixtures and store interiors, and to develop 3D models and renderings aligned with brand guidelines.

You will also prepare shop drawings, BOMs and cutting lists, and coordinate with production, estimating and installation teams to ensure feasible, cost-effective solutions under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Proficiency in 3D software for model creation and renderings.
• Experience with retail fixtures and furniture manufacturing.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.
• BOMs, cutting lists and shop drawings knowledge.
• Strong understanding of materials and fabrication methods.
• Good command of Excel and MS Office.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under tight project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for fixtures, displays, signage and interiors.
• Develop 3D models and realistic renderings per brand guidelines.
• Prepare shop drawings with dimensions, materials, hardware and methods.
• Understand materials like MDF, plywood, wood, metals, laminates, paints and coatings.
• Convert concepts into manufacturing-ready drawings.
• Prepare cutting lists, BOMs and material requirements.
• Coordinate with production, purchase, estimation and installation teams.
• Review drawings to identify design, fabrication and installation issues.
• Make revisions per client/brand feedback and site conditions.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, project managers and vendors as needed.
• Visit sites to take measurements and confirm installation needs.
• Ensure drawings meet approved designs, dimensions and brand standards.
• Support estimation with accurate material quantities and design inputs.
• Maintain records of approved drawings, revisions and project files.
• Assist in developing standardized and cost-effective fixture designs.
• Resolve production and installation-related technical issues.

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for retail fixtures, displays, signage, and store interiors.
• Develop 3D models and realistic renderings based on brand guidelines and client requirements.
• Prepare shop drawings / production drawings with dimensions, material specifications, hardware details, and construction methods.
• Understand and work with materials such as MDF, plywood, solid wood, MS, SS, aluminium profiles, acrylic, glass, laminates, paint and powder coating.
• Convert concept drawings and brand guidelines into manufacturing-ready drawings.
• Prepare cutting lists, BOMs and material requirements.
• Coordinate with the production, purchase, estimation and installation teams to ensure drawings are practical and cost-effective.
• Review drawings and identify design, fabrication and installation issues before production.
• Make revisions based on client/brand feedback and site conditions.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, project managers and vendors when required.
• Visit sites when required to take measurements and understand installation requirements.
• Ensure drawings are prepared according to approved designs, dimensions and brand standards.
• Support the estimation team by providing accurate material quantities and design inputs for costing.
• Maintain proper records of approved drawings, revisions and project files.
• Assist in developing standardized and cost-effective fixture designs for repeated/mass production.
• Resolve production and installation-related technical issues.

Required Skills

• AutoCAD mandatory
