Job summary

Mahabal Workforce Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for an engineering/design role with experience in Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and mechanical product design. The position involves developing and modifying mechanical designs, creating 3D models and 2D drawings, maintaining engineering documentation, and coordinating with manufacturing teams.

The candidate will apply GD&T and ISO standards, understand hydraulic and electrical systems, and contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-3 years of relevant mechanical design experience.
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and GD&T preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify mechanical designs for MHE.
• Create 3D models, 2D drawings and detailed drawings using Creo (Pro-E) and AutoCAD.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs and engineering documentation.
• Prepare technical presentations and PPTs as required.
• Apply basic knowledge of ISO standards and GD&T in engineering drawings.
• Understand basic hydraulic and electrical systems related to MHE.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and fabrication teams for design feasibility and implementation.
• Apply knowledge of fabrication processes and manufacturing methods during product/design development.
• Support design modifications, product improvements and engineering documentation.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve design and manufacturing-related issues.
• Ensure drawings and design documents are accurate and updated.
• Participate in product development and continuous improvement activities.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and modifying mechanical designs, preparing engineering drawings and 3D models, maintaining technical documentation, and coordinating with manufacturing and fabrication teams.

Key Responsibilities

• * Prepare technical presentations and PPTs as required.
• * Apply basic knowledge of ISO standards and GD&T in engineering drawings.
• * Understand basic hydraulic and electrical systems related to MHE.
• * Coordinate with manufacturing and fabrication teams for design feasibility and implementation.

Required Skills

• * Strong knowledge of Mechanical Design & Engineering.
• * Hands-on experience with Creo (Pro-E) and AutoCAD.
• * Good understanding of 2D drawings and 3D modelling.
• * Knowledge of BOM preparation and engineering documentation.
• * Basic understanding of GD&T and ISO standards.
• * Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• * Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• * Good communication and coordination skills.
• * Ability to work effectively with manufacturing and engineering teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• * B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• * 2-3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design/engineering.
• * Experience in Material Handling Equipment (MHE), industrial equipment or similar engineering products will be preferred.
• * Candidates who have worked on fabrication-based machinery/equipment design will be an added advantage.

Salary

4.00 LPA - 5.00 LPA, depending on experience, skills and suitability for the position.
