Job summary

Expleo Group is looking for a Design Engineer in Bengaluru, India. The role involves developing 3D models of compressor components and converting them into 2D drawings. Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with UG-NX, Team Centre, and SAP.

Essential skills include experience in Engineered to order projects and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Knowledge of casting processes and API standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Engineered to order projects on equipment design.
• Industry experience in Air Separation, Oil & Gas preferred.
• Knowledge of Casting & Machining processes.

Job description

Design Engineer - Capability to develop 3D Models of compressor components, assembly models and convert to 2D drawings.

Responsibilities

• Preparing General arrangement drawing. Ability to read P&ID diagrams.
• Pipe routing design for lube oil, seal gas, compressor interstage piping design.
• Detailing of structural & fabrication component drawings.
• Conduit, wiring & cable tray routing design.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

Essential Skills

• Experience in Engineered to order projects, experience of working on equipment design like skid packaging & integration of large centrifugal compressors (Compressors + Oil systems + heat exchangers + Motors + Piping + Skid + Cables / conduits) etc.
• Target industry : Air Separation, Oil & Gas, EPCs & related experience is preferrable.
• Sound knowledge of Casting & Machining processes.
• Knowledge of API standards like 614, 617 etc.
• Sound knowledge of GD& T and latest drawing standards and best practices.
