Job summary

HR Yaar in Mumbai seeks an experienced interior drafter to transform design concepts into precise working, execution, and shop drawings for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.

You will produce elevations, sections, joinery details, and coordinate with design, MEP and site teams to ensure clash-free execution and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in interior design or architectural firm.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; SketchUp or Revit preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and interior detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/interior drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed interior working drawings including elevations and sections.
• Develop execution and shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate drawings with design, MEP and site teams to avoid clashes.
• Update drawings based on site conditions, client feedback, and revisions.
• Maintain drawing logs and revision records.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in an Interior Design or architectural firm (residential, commercial and hospitality)

OVERVIEW

The drafter would be responsible for preparing accurate, detailed, and execution-ready drawings for interior design projects. This role bridges the gap between concept design and site execution by translating design intent into precise working drawings, shop drawings, and coordination drawings in line with industry standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed interior working drawings and details, including:

• Elevations and sections
• Joinery and furniture detailing
• Toilet and kitchen detailed drawings

Develop execution drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings as required.

• Coordinate drawings with design, MEP, and site teams to avoid clashes and discrepancies.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, design intent, and relevant standards.
• Update drawings based on site conditions, client feedback, and design revisions.
• Maintain drawing logs, revision records, and documentation.
• Support site teams by clarifying drawings and providing additional details when required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma / Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of SketchUp / Revit (preferred)
• Basic understanding of Photoshop or similar tools is an advantage
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and interior detailing
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, along with good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple drawings and deadlines.
