Job summary

Hema Automation - India is seeking a Design Cum Estimation Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in Electrical Control Panel and Automation Panel design and estimation. You will prepare electrical designs, BOMs, cost estimates, and quotations to meet customer requirements and project specs.

Key responsibilities include creating panel drawings, calculating material and labour costs, studying RFQs, reviewing vendor quotes, and coordinating with Sales, Purchase, and Production teams to ensure

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in Electrical Panel Design, Automation, Estimation or a similar role.
• Experience in Panel Design, Estimation and BOM Preparation.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, VFD, MCC, PCC, APFC and control panels will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Electrical Control Panel / Automation Panel drawings as per project requirements.
• Prepare BOQ/BOM and detailed cost estimations for control panels and automation projects.
• Study customer RFQs, specifications, SLDs and technical requirements.
• Select appropriate electrical and automation components based on project requirements.
• Prepare accurate material costing, labour costing and project estimates.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Project and Production teams for technical and commercial requirements.
• Review vendor quotations and ensure proper component selection and pricing.
• Prepare technical and commercial inputs for customer quotations and tenders.
• Ensure designs and estimates are prepared within the required timeline.
• Support the team during technical discussions with customers and vendors.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, BOMs, estimates and revisions.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of Electrical Control Panels and Automation Systems.
• Experience in Panel Design, Estimation and BOM Preparation.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, VFD, MCC, PCC, APFC and control panels will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of electrical components such as MCB, MCCB, contactors, relays, SMPS, terminals, switches, etc.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN or similar electrical design software.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel for costing and estimation.
• Ability to read and understand Electrical SLDs and control schematics.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good coordination and communication skills.

Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

Experience

2–3 years of relevant experience in Electrical Panel Design, Automation, Estimation or a similar role.
