Job summary

Shree Metal Product seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in heavy-gauge sheet metal stamping and related structural components. The role involves prototype development, VAVE-driven cost and weight optimizations, and designing parts tailored to manufacturing processes.

Willingness to travel to the Bidar factory is required. The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering background (B.E./B.Tech./Diploma) and demonstrates proficiency in CAD modeling to scale designs

Qualifications

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 2–3 years in core product design and development, especially heavy-gauge sheet metal stamping, pressed components, or structural piping supports.
• Willingness to travel to Bidar factory as needed.

• Prototype Development: Coordinate with toolmakers and rapid prototyping vendors.
• Value Engineering (VAVE): Analyze existing product lines to identify opportunities for cost reduction, weight optimization, or component consolidation without sacrificing quality.
• Optimize for Specific Processes: Design parts tailored to their specific manufacturing method to minimize scrap, cycle time, and tooling costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prototype Development:
  Coordinate with toolmakers and rapid prototyping vendors.


• Value Engineering (VAVE):

• Optimize for Specific Processes:
  Design parts tailored to their specific manufacturing method to minimize scrap, cycle time, and tooling costs.


• Travel Requirement:
  The candidate must be willing to travel to the Bidar factory as and when required by project demands.

Key Skills

• Knowledge of progressive die stamping, blanking, bending allowances, K-factors, and springback management for thick structural carbon steel and stainless steel strips.


• CAD Modeling: High proficiency in parametric software to quickly scale designs across nominal pipe sizes.

Desired Profile of the Candidate

• Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.


• Experience: 2 to 3 years of core experience in product design and development, specifically working with heavy-gauge sheet metal stamping, pressed components, or structural piping support systems.
