Job summary

Riverforest Connections in India seeks a senior institutional derivatives trader with 10–20 years of experience to lead F&O order execution, trading strategies, and client service on NSE IX and GIFT City platforms.

You will manage end-to-end trade lifecycle, monitor risk, optimize pricing, and collaborate with operations, risk and sales to grow volumes and revenue.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in equity derivatives trading and institutional orders.
• Experience executing institutional orders and handling sophisticated client orders.
• Exposure to NSE IX / GIFT City trading will be strongly preferred.
• Experience with institutional clients, FIIs/FPIs, funds or asset managers is advantageous.
• Deep understanding of derivatives markets including futures, options, spreads, hedging and volatility strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to generate trading volumes and contribute to revenue/P&L.
• Strong market understanding with analytical and decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute institutional orders and manage end-to-end trade lifecycle.
• Trade on NSE IX and other relevant IFSC platforms.
• Develop and implement trading strategies based on market conditions and client needs.
• Manage F&O positions, exposures and risk limits.
• Monitor market movements, volumes, volatility and open interest.
• Provide efficient execution while optimizing pricing, liquidity and costs.
• Coordinate with Operations, Technology and Risk teams for post-trade processing.
• Maintain relationships with institutional clients and support business development with market insights.
• Monitor trading performance, P&L, volumes and revenue; provide regular reports.
• Stay updated on Indian equity derivatives and institutional trading practices.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Experience to executeinstitutional orders in Futures & Optionsacross Indian equity derivatives markets.


• Manage end-to-endorder execution and trade lifecyclefor institutional clients.


• Execute trades onNSE IX and other relevant IFSC trading platforms.


• Develop and implement trading strategies based on market conditions, liquidity, volatility and client requirements.


• ManageF&O positions, exposures and risk limitswithin the firm's approved trading framework.


• Monitor market movements, price action, volumes, open interest, volatility and other relevant market indicators.


• Provide efficient and timely execution while optimizingpricing, liquidity and transaction costs.


• Work closely with institutional clients, counterparties and internal trading/operations teams.


• Understand institutional client requirements and provide appropriate execution solutions across derivatives products.


• Identify opportunities to increasetrading volumes, client activity and revenuefrom the GIFT City platform.


• Contribute to the development and implementation of newderivatives trading strategies and products.


• Maintain strong relationships with institutional clients and support business development through market insights and execution capabilities.


• Coordinate with Operations, Technology, Risk and other internal teams to ensure smooth post-trade processing and settlement.


• Monitor trading performance, P&L, volumes and revenue and provide regular management reports.


• Stay abreast of developments inIndian equity derivatives, F&O markets, NSE IX and institutional trading practices.

Candidate Profile

• Strong hands-on experience inEquity Futures & Options trading.


• Proven experience ininstitutional order executionand handling sophisticated client orders.


• Exposure toNSE IX / GIFT Citytrading will be strongly preferred.


• Experience withinstitutional clients, FIIs/FPIs, funds, asset managers or large HNIswill be an advantage.


• Strong understanding of derivatives markets, includingFutures, Options, spreads, hedging and volatility-based strategies.


• Demonstrated ability to generate trading volumes and contribute torevenue/P&L.


• Strong market understanding with excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities.


• Ability to independently manage trading activities in a fast-paced market environment.


• Strong communication and relationship-management skills.


• High level of ownership, integrity and commercial orientation.

Experience-10–20 yearsof relevant experience in institutional derivatives trading.
