Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead outbound logistics, supervise the O2D process, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely fulfillment. The role focuses on performance monitoring, cost controls, and continuous improvement across LSPs.

The ideal candidate has 5-8 years in logistics, with expertise in warehousing, contracts, SAP MM/SD, and TMS systems, and is proficient in Excel and Power BI for data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience handling logistics, preferably in Auto / FMCG / e-commerce.
• Strong command in Logistics & Warehouse Operation.
• Experience in logistics contracting, freight management, and cost optimization.
• Understanding of Quality Tools, RCA, and Problem-Solving methodologies.
• Good knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
• Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other logistics software solutions.
• Preferred knowledge of SAP MM and SD modules.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for planning and executing outbound logistics operations.
• Oversee the complete Order-to-Delivery (O2D) process to ensure timely and efficient product movement.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth logistics execution and customer fulfillment.
• Respond to logistics-related queries from Customer Care and Business teams.
• Monitor logistics performance across all Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and drive continuous improvement.
• Track logistics KPIs, MIS reports, and operational performance metrics, and implement corrective actions where required.
• Ensure qualitative, damage-free deliveries and maintain targeted customer satisfaction levels.
• Plan logistics operations to minimize detention time and enhance fleet utilization.
• Drive logistics cost optimization initiatives without compromising service levels.
• Define and manage logistics SLAs, inbound/outbound transportation contracts, and penalty clauses.
• Facilitate contract negotiations, periodic reviews, and validations with logistics service providers.
• Monitor freight spend and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Maintain logistics databases, including customer master data, logistics contracts, KPI dashboards, and transportation data.
• Leverage analytics to identify trends, improve operational efficiency, and support decision-making.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of logistics data across systems and reports.
• Lead logistics improvement projects such as network optimization, route optimization, and process automation initiatives.
• Conduct regular process audits and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Drive implementation of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal, safety, and corporate requirements.
