Job summary

Whirlpool India is seeking a Tools and Equipment Sourcing professional to lead end-to-end tooling development for plastics and metal components. The role emphasizes supplier finalization, cost optimization, and alignment with NPI/EPI processes within Whirlpool's procurement framework.

You will collaborate with tool makers, molders, and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery and governance compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Polymer engineering or equivalent, with relevant certifications such as CIPET/NTTF/GTTC.
• 6–9 years of experience in tooling and equipment development for plastics, sheet metal, die casting.
• Experience with injection molding tooling and capital equipment procurement.
• Proficiency in CAD and vendor assessments for tool design capability analysis.
• Strong negotiation skills and a good understanding of T&E strategies and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end tooling development including supplier finalization, commercial closure, IDP, and DFMs.
• Manage tool development with tool makers and molders to meet project timelines.
• Support long-term capacity planning from a tooling perspective and align with LTCP targets.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify tooling and capital equipment suppliers as per procurement policy.
• Maintain compliance in internal audits and document approvals per SOA and governance workflows.
