Job summary

Eaton in Mumbai, India is seeking a detail-oriented service engineer to install, commission, and service 3-phase UPS systems at customer sites. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, safety checks, and timely completion of service requests.

You will lead 2-3 contract engineers, coordinate with clients and vendors, and generate reports for managers. A technical diploma or BE/BTech with 5–7 years (or 8–10 for diploma) in electrical/electronics and UPS knowledge is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

We are searching for a detail-orientated, deadline-driven service engineer to join Eaton. The service engineers responsibilities include installation, commissioning, preventive maintnenace and servicing breakdowns at customer sites. An outstanding service engineer will exhibit resourcefulness as well as active listening and troubleshooting skills.

1. \\"1. Providing high level of customer service in handling 3-phase UPS Break Down Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance & installation and commissioning.


2. \\"2. Communicating with clients, engineers, and other technicians to ensure that services are delivered effectively.


3. \\"3. Promptly following up on service requests and providing customer feedback


4. \\"4. Ability to execute projects and related vendor coordination.


5. \\"5. Assign calls to ASPs and closely working with to get task completion.


6. \\"6. Promptly following up on service requests and providing customer feedback.


7. \\"7. Conducting quality assurance and safety checks on all equipment


8. \\"7. Delivering demonstrations to ensure that customers are educated on safe and effective equipment use


9. \\"8. Monitoring equipment and machinery performance and developing preventative maintenance measures, establishing field test methods and monitoring the quality of those tests.


10. \\"9. Providing recommendations about new features and product improvements required.


11. \\"10. Writing reports and presenting findings to Managers and Supervisors on a regular basis.


12. \\"11. To ensure the measuring instruments are calibrated and all items are available in the tool kit to use on field as and when required.

14. \\"13. Work actively for lead generation to support service sales. Must look out for business opportunities to increase service revenue by generating enquiries for AMC, UPS accessories, retrofit activity, value added services like energy audit & batterery replacement etc.

Qualifications:

• Technical Diploma or BE or BTech


• Bachelor of Engineering experience range required in between 5-7 Years OR in case of Diploma experience range should be 8-10 Years

Skills:
