Job summary

Eaton is seeking a detail-oriented project engineer to plan, coordinate, and oversee electrical projects, including 3‑phase UPS and data centre initiatives. You will ensure on-time delivery, manage site wiring, and hand over with proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/BTech in Electrical/Electronics with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Study project BOM, configuration, site wiring and layout and implement on site.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and stakeholders for project progress.
• Own the commissioning process and handover to the customer.
• Maintain thorough project documentation and proper handover with sales.
• Coordinate with vendors, electrical consultants and PMC’s to meet standards and guidelines.
• Update stakeholders regularly on progress, challenges and scope changes.
• Provide onsite training to the customer facility team.
• Identify business opportunities to increase service revenue.

Job description

What You’ll Do

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven project engineer to join our team. The project engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects within the organization, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope. This role requires a strong understanding of 3 phase UPS, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.

• Study and understand project BOM, configuration, site wiring and site layout from the sales team and implement the same on site.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and progressing smoothly.
• Own the commissioning process and handing over of the project to the customer.
• Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, and reports, and ensure proper handover of documents in coordination with the sales team at the end of the project.
• Coordinate with various vendors, electrical consultants and PMC’s, including project meetings and project execution, ensuring all project activities meet or exceed industry standards, regulations, and company quality guidelines.
• Coordinate with internal support functions of Eaton such as SCM, Quality, Logistics and regularly update key stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and changes in scope.
• Address technical issues and project challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track.
• Provide onsite training to the customer’s facility team.
• Search for business opportunities to increase service revenue by generating enquiries for panels, cables, accessories, etc.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Handle Data Center and large IT segment projects.
• Prepare project planners and meet deadlines to deliver projects on time.
• Coordinate L2, L3 and L4 activity during SAT.
• Knowledge about basic operation and SAT demonstration of online 3 Phase UPS up to 1200 KVA UPS.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma, BE or BTech.
• BE in Electrical/Electronics with 3–4 years of experience in the same field.
• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics with 5–6 years of experience in the same field.
