Job summary

The candidate should have a BE/BTech or Technical Diploma with 4–9 years of relevant experience, knowledge of electrical/electronics, and UPS systems. The job involves field work and safety-focused maintenance and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• UPS knowledge is mandatory for the role.
• Experience range: Diploma 7–9 years or BE/BTech 4–6 years.

Responsibilities

• Handle 3-phase UPS break-down maintenance, preventive maintenance, installation and commissioning.
• Communicate with clients, engineers, and technicians to ensure service quality.
• Lead follow-ups on service requests and provide customer feedback.
• Execute projects and coordinate with vendors as required.
• Assign calls to ASPs and coordinate to complete tasks.
• Perform QA and safety checks on equipment.
• Deliver demonstrations to educate customers on safe equipment use.
• Monitor equipment performance and develop preventive maintenance measures.
• Provide recommendations for new features and product improvements.
• Write reports and present findings to managers regularly.
• Ensure measuring instruments are calibrated and field kits stocked.
• Monitor inventory and reorder materials as needed.
• Identify opportunities to increase service revenue via AMC and UPS accessories.
• Lead a small team of 2–3 contract engineers when required.

Job description

What you’ll do:

We are searching for a detail-orientated, deadline-driven service engineer to join Eaton. The service engineer's responsibilities include installation, commissioning, preventive maintnenace and servicing breakdowns at customer sites. An outstanding service engineer will exhibit resourcefulness as well as active listening and troubleshooting skills.

"1. Providing high level of customer service in handling 3-phase UPS Break Down Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance & installation and commissioning.

1. Communicating with clients, engineers, and other technicians to ensure that services are delivered effectively.
2. Promptly following up on service requests and providing customer feedback
3. Ability to execute projects and related vendor coordination.
4. Assign calls to ASPs and closely working with to get task completion.
5. Promptly following up on service requests and providing customer feedback.
6. Conducting quality assurance and safety checks on all equipment
7. Delivering demonstrations to ensure that customers are educated on safe and effective equipment use

9.Monitoring equipment and machinery performance and developing preventative maintenance measures, establishing field test methods and monitoring the quality of those tests.

1. Providing recommendations about new features and product improvements required.
2. Writing reports and presenting findings to Managers and Supervisors on a regular basis.
3. To ensure the measuring instruments are calibrated and all items are available in the tool kit to use on field as and when required.
4. Monitoring inventory and reordering materials when needed.

Other Responsibilities

1. To search for various business opportunities to increase service revenue by means of generating enquiries for AMC, UPS accessories & batteries etc.
2. Ability to handle team of 2-3 contract engineers if required

Qualifications:

Technical Diploma or BE or BTech

Bachelor of Engineering experience range required in between ( 4 to 6__ Years) OR in case of Diploma experience range should be in between ( _7 to 9 Years )

Skills:

Relevant experience with UPS knowledge is mandatory"
