Job summary

Bridgestone Pune is seeking a Safety & Compliance professional with BE in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical and an Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety. You will ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate license renewals, and support audits across the plant.

The role involves leading fire safety initiatives, managing safety training, PTW processes, and incident investigations with RCA/CAPA to drive continual improvement.

Qualifications

• Candidate with BE in electrical/mechanical/chemical and an advanced safety diploma is essential.
• Knowledge of SAP and MS Office is required.
• Strong regulatory and safety compliance background necessary.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Factory Act and applicable safety regulations.
• Coordinate renewal of licenses and maintain legal records.
• Prepare safety reports and support audits.
• Lead safety audits, ensure readiness of fire protection systems, and manage PTW system.
• Deliver safety training and participate in incident investigations with RCA and CAPA.

B.E/ Electrical /Mechanical/ Chemical, must have Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (MSBTE), SAP, Computer, MS office etc. knowledge is Must

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Factories Act, Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2006, PESO, NBC, NFPA and other applicable regulations.
• Coordinate renewal of Factory, PESO, Sulphur, LDO, Boiler, and other statutory licenses.
• Submit statutory reports, maintain legal records, and support compliance audits.

Global Safety & Fire / Disaster Prevention Reporting

• Support implementation of Bridgestone Global SHE standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Disaster Prevention and Safety reports, Survey etc
• Coordinate APIC communication, incident sharing, and Disaster Prevention and Safety compliance reviews.

Fire Safety & Fire/ Disaster Prevention Activities

• Lead Global Fire & Safety audits, drive compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements, and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Ensure operational readiness, maintenance, and AMC management of fire protection systems, firefighting equipment, and emergency response infrastructure.
• Coordinate emergency response drills, Disaster Prevention campaigns, and disaster preparedness initiatives across the plant.
• Administer and monitor the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system, with special emphasis on Hot Work permit compliance.
• Deliver Fire Safety, Disaster Prevention, and Emergency Response training programs to employees and contractors.
• Support incident investigations through Root Cause Analysis (RCA), implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and sustenance of improvement measures.
• Effectively manage teams, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders to achieve safety and DP objectives.
