Job summary

Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India is seeking a Sr. Buyer for Raw Materials (Ferrous/Non-Ferrous) to drive procurement strategy across flat steel, aluminum, and plastics.

You will work closely with the Material Support Office to budget, validate RM, and provide management reports on RM status. You will challenge suppliers and options to mitigate RM risk, manage relationships with steel mills, and oversee centralized steel purchasing with stock control and yield mapping.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of major RM categories including ferrous/non-ferrous materials.
• Experience with RM budgeting, validation, and variance reporting.
• Ability to manage RM status through regular management reporting.
• Exposure to supplier relations with steel mills and material suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Sr. Buyer for Raw Material – Ferrous/Non-Ferrous including flat steel, aluminum, plastics, etc.
• MSO – Material Support Office responsibilities: RM guide, budgeting, RM validation, and reporting RM status.
• Challenging RM options to mitigate risk across major RM categories.
• Manage steel mills relationships and ensure reliable supplies; oversee CSP – Centralized Steel Purchasing with stock control and yield mapping.
• Leverage RM index/market intelligence to support procurement decisions.

• Sr. Buyer : Raw Material – Ferrous/Non-Ferrous (Flat Steel/Aluminum/Plastics etc.,)
• MSO – Material Support Office (Responsible for Overall RM Guide, budget working, RM validation etc., Management reporting for RM status)
• Should have strong knowledge on all Major RM category to challenge & find option for mitigation
• Steel Mills management Including existing supplies + new development
• CSP – Centralized Steel Purchasing management along with Coil center, should be able to manage Supplies effectively with ordering & stock control + best Yield mapping
• Good knowledge on RM index/market intelligence will be added advantage
