Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. in Chennai seeks an engineer to drive part development with TCP targets, coordinating with design teams and suppliers to finalize requirements and timelines for on-time delivery.

The role requires 3–6 years in the Indian automotive supplier industry, a B.E., PFMEA knowledge, and SAP for purchasing activities, with hands-on experience in clutch/transmission gears, forgings, and machining processes; PPAP sign-offs and collaboration with SQE/SCM are expected.

Qualifications

• PFMEA knowledge is required.
• SAP knowledge for purchase related activity is required.
• Experience in Indian automotive supplier industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of clutch/transmission gears, forgings and machining processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on TCP targets for part development.
• Prepare budget for project investments.
• Coordinate with design team and suppliers to close the Statement of Requirement.
• Prepare development timelines with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Complete technical sign-off with Engineering to ensure suppliers meet TCP targets.
• Complete Vendor PPAP and handover to SQE & SCM.
• Assess resource requirements for transmission parts to meet capacity.
• Handle analysis and root cause analysis for parts issues.

Job description

• 1. Deliver on TCP Targets for Part Development.
• 2. Budget Preparation to Confirm Investment of Project.
• 3. Co-ordinate with Design Team and supplier for the closer of Statement of Requirement.
• 4. Should have good Knowledge of different maufacturing process of Casting and Forging. Sheet Metal, and HT processes.
• 5) Should be able to prepare the development time line with supplier to ensure the timely delivery of parts in line with project requirement.
• 5. Timely completion of technical sign-off along with Engg to ensure that only the suppliers capable of meeting TCP Targets are signed-off
• 6. Timely completion of Vendor PPAP and handover to SQE & SCM
• 7. Good Know how of Clutch/ Transmission/ Gears /forgings and Machining Process.
• 8)Should be able to take out the resource requirement for transmission parts for the required capacity.
• 9) Should be able to Handle analysis and interface parts issues and root cause analysis
