Job summary

Eaton is seeking a detail-oriented project engineer to plan, coordinate and oversee UPS projects, ensuring on-time delivery and scope compliance. The role emphasizes on-site wiring, site layout, commissioning and formal handover to customers.

You will work with cross-functional teams, vendors and PMC entities, maintain project documentation and manage risks while seeking opportunities to grow service revenue within data center and large IT segments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Study project BOM, configuration, site wiring and site layout from Sales and implement on site.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and stakeholders to align activities.
• Own commissioning process and handover to customer.
• Maintain thorough project documentation and ensure proper handover with sales at project end.
• Coordinate with vendors, electrical consultants and PMC for project execution.
• Update key stakeholders on progress, challenges and scope changes.
• Address technical issues and provide solutions to keep projects on track.
• Involved in onsite training for customer facility teams.
• Identify business opportunities to increase service revenue.
• Manage risks and mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Handle Data Center and Large IT Segment Projects.
• Prepare project planners and meet project deadlines.

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven project engineer to join our team. The project engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects within the organization, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope. This role requires a strong understanding of 3 phase UPS, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Do

Study and understand project BOM, Configuration, Site Wiring & Site Layout from Sales team and implement the same on site.

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and progressing smoothly.
• Own the commissioning process & handing over of the project. to the cusotmer.
• Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, reports. Also ensuring proper handing over of documents in co-ordination with sales team at the end of the project.
• Co-ordination with various vendors, Electrical Consultants and PMC’s including project meetings and project execution ensuring all project activities meet or exceed industry standards, regulations, and company quality guidelines.
• Co-ordination with internal support functions of Eaton like SCM, Quality, Logistics and regularly updating key stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and changes in scope.
• Address technical issues and project challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track.
• Involved in onsite training to Customers facility team.
• To search for various business opportunities to increase service revenue by means of generating enquiries for panels, cables, accessories etc.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Responsible to handle Data Center and Large IT Segment Projects..
• preparing project plannner and meeting dead line of Project On Time
• Responsible for cordinate for l2 , L3 and L4 Activity during SAT

12 Knowledge about basic oparation and SAT demonstarion of Online 3 Phase UPS higher capcity up to 1200 KVA UPS

Qualifications

Technical Diploma or BE or BTech

BE in Electrical / Electronics with 3-4 yrs of experience in same field or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics with 5-6 yrs of experience in the same field.

Skills

"Electrical, Electronics knowledge is a must"

Knowledge of UPS, Electric and Data Centre projects

End to end project execution experience

Strong in documentation
