Qualifications

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of procurement experience in hospitality, airport operations, or service industries.
• Proven experience managing procurement for multiple locations, units, or business verticals.
• Strong expertise in vendor management, strategic sourcing, contract management, and negotiations.
• Hands-on with SAP, Web Prolific, and other ERP platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for multiple units, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure quality and competitive pricing.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors with an approved vendor database.
• Lead commercial negotiations and annual rate agreements for value.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, supplier performance for cost savings.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and other departments to meet requirements.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, audit standards, and internal controls.
• Track budgets, spending, and inventory to optimize costs and minimize wastage.
• Prepare procurement reports, MIS, and vendor performance reviews.

Role Summary

Bengaluru Airport Services Limited (BASL) is looking for a dynamic and experienced Deputy Manager Procurement to oversee procurement operations across multiple business units. The incumbent will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiations, cost optimization, and ensuring uninterrupted supply of goods and services to support business operations. The role also involves leading a procurement team and driving process efficiencies through effective utilization of procurement systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for multiple units, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, services, and equipment.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors while maintaining an approved vendor database.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and annual rate agreements to achieve maximum value for the organization.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across Operations, Culinary, Engineering, Finance, F&B, Housekeeping, and other departments to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely fulfillment.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, statutory requirements, audit standards, and internal controls.
• Track procurement budgets, spending patterns, and inventory requirements to optimize costs and minimize wastage.
• Prepare procurement reports, MIS, and vendor performance reviews for management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4 procurement professionals, ensuring high performance and accountability.
• Drive process automation and procurement efficiency through effective use of ERP and procurement management systems.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• 8 - 10 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in Hospitality, Hotels, Airport Operations, Lounges, Facility Management, or Service Industries.
• Proven experience in managing procurement for multiple locations, units, or business verticals.
• Strong expertise in vendor management, strategic sourcing, contract management, and commercial negotiations.
• Hands-on experience with SAP, Web Prolific, and other procurement/ERP platforms.
• Strong analytical, planning, and cost-control skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership capabilities.
