Job summary

Adani Group seeks an experienced Project Manager to drive execution of smelter, refinery, utilities and infrastructure projects. You will support detailed planning, track milestones, coordinate with EPC contractors, and manage governance frameworks to ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, preparing leadership reports, and ensuring adherence to scope, specs, and contracts, with focus on risk management and compliance across engineering, procurement and operations

Qualifications

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgical or Chemical.
  • Over 10 years in project management/execution in manufacturing, metal, or EPC.
  • Hands-on exposure to industrial projects (smelter/refinery/heavy plant).
  • Strong coordination and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support detailed project planning and execution for large industrial projects.
  • Track milestones, schedules, and deliverables against approved plans.
  • Coordinate with EPC contractors and site execution teams.
  • Maintain project MIS, dashboards, and progress trackers.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports for leadership review.
  • Ensure adherence to scope, technical specs, and contracts.
  • Assist audits, reviews, and compliance checks.
  • Monitor capex utilization and schedule performance.
  • Track risks and issues at execution level; escalate delays.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and O&M teams.
  • Maintain documentation and audit readiness.

Purpose/Objective

To support and drive execution, monitoring, and assurance of projects by enabling effective planning, tracking, risk management, and governance mechanisms aligned with overall project delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities of Role
  • Project Execution & Tracking - Support detailed project planning and execution for smelter, refinery, utilities, and infrastructure projects
  • Track milestones, schedules, and deliverables against approved plans
  • Coordinate with EPC contractors and site execution teams
  • Monitoring & Reporting - Maintain project MIS, dashboards, and progress trackers
  • Monitor schedule adherence and highlight deviations
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports for leadership review
  • Project Assurance & Governance - Support implementation of project governance frameworks
  • Ensure adherence to scope, technical specifications, and contracts
  • Assist in audits, reviews, and compliance checks
  • Risk & Issue Management - Identify project risks/issues at execution level
  • Track mitigation plans and elevate delays/critical concerns
  • Cross-Functional Coordination - Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and O&M teams
  • Facilitate alignment between internal stakeholders and external contractors
  • Cost & Schedule Control - Monitor capex utilization and schedule performance
  • Support variance analysis and forecasting
  • Quality & Compliance - Ensure quality standards during construction and commissioning
  • Track adherence to HSE and regulatory requirements
  • Documentation & Control - Maintain project documentation, MOMs, trackers, and compliance reports
  • Ensure proper version control and audit readiness

Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Metallurgical / Chemical) Experience: - Over 10 years in project management / execution in manufacturing / metal / EPC - Hands-on exposure to industrial projects (preferably smelter / refinery / heavy plan - Project tracking tools (MS Project / Primavera – working knowledge - Strong coordination and follow-up capability - Understanding of engineering drawings and project lifecycle - Good analytical and reporting skills - Stakeholder communication
