Job summary

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited is seeking a Deputy Manager - Plant Engineering to lead material procurement and planning for casting and forging parts across vehicle and aggregate programs. The role requires close collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time deliveries and optimal inventory levels.

You will oversee usage of IT tools (MRP) and drive cost savings in packaging, materials, and logistics, while managing changes through the EN process.

Qualifications

• BE with Mechanical/Production/Automobile specialty.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in automobile sector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Material procurement and planning for casting and forging parts used in vehicles and aggregates.
• Use of planning tools such as DBM/MRP.
• Supplier capacity planning and timely escalations for gaps.
• Inventory management and cost savings opportunities.
• Coordinate packaging and logistics savings for the department.
• Drive change management under EN process.

1. Material Procurement and Planning for Casting and Forging parts required in Vehicle and Aggregates viz. Engine, TM, Axle, Foundry
2. Use of IT tools -DBM /LTP/MRP
3. Supplier Capacity Planning wrt material requirement and timely escalations in case of gaps
4. Inventory Management
5. Change management - EN process
6. Cost Savings - Packaging / Material / Logistics
7. Co-ordination of Packaging Cost / Logistics Savings for the Department.
8. Experience 5 - 10 Years of Relevant Work Experience
