Job summary

Ascentis is seeking a Deputy Manager- MEP (Site based) for Goa to lead on-site quality and MEP works across HVAC, plumbing, fire, electrical, and LV systems.

The role requires 8+ years in construction management of MEP low-side works, with preference for hotel project experience and strong shop-drawing reading ability. Role is onsite in Goa with standard working hours.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in construction management and MEP low-side site execution for fitouts.
• Experience with contracting firms and project management for high-end fitouts from start to finish.
• Hotel project experience is preferred.
• Strong ability to read contractor shop drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site quality inspections for MEP Low Side works (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire, Electrical, LV).
• Monitor compliance with project specs, drawings, codes, and standards.
• Inspect materials against MARs and technical specifications.
• Assist planner in sequencing works and handover/takeover processes.
• Implement ITPs, MIRs, and WIRs on site.
• Maintain inspection reports, NCRs, and corrective action records.
• Collaborate with site engineers, project managers, and contractors on quality issues.
• Participate in client, consultant, and internal quality review meetings.
• Support monthly quality reports and recommendations for improvement.

Job Title- Deputy Manager- MEP (Site based role)

Location- Goa (Morjim)

Working hours- 9:00 am 6:00 pm

Working days- Monday to Friday and alternate Saturday working.

NOTE- Require strong MEP installation/execution experience for this profile plus Quality control.

Job Description-

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site quality inspections for MEP Low Side works for HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Electrical and Low Voltage works
• Monitor and ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, codes, and standards
• Inspect materials delivered to the site for compliance with approved Material Approval Requests (MARs) and technical specifications.
• Assist the planner in implementing sequencing of works and Hand Over &Take Over of areas
• Implement Quality Control procedures, ITPs. MIRs and work WIRs on site
• Maintain detailed inspection reports, test results, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective action records.
• Work closely with site engineers, project managers, and contractors to address quality-related concerns.
• Participate in client, consultant, and internal quality review meetings.
• Support in preparing monthly quality reports and recommendations for improvement.

Required Education & Skills

• Diploma, B. Tech. or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
• Min 8 years of experience in construction management and site execution of MEP Low Side Work for fitout projects
• Exposure in working with contracting firms, and project management organizations for a high-end fitout works, from start till completion
• Experience in working for a hotel project will be preferred
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills,
• Eye for detail in MEP installations prior to closure of shafts and ceilings
• Ability to read contractor shop drawings
• Good communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel
