Job summary

Toshiba JSW Power Systems in Tamil Nadu, India, seeks an experienced on-site technician to perform hands-on assembly/disassembly of hydrogen-cooled generators and manage 300 MW+ air- or water-cooled units. The role requires strong skills in bearing inspection, generator maintenance, and HVB assembly, with expertise in turbine-generator alignment.

You will diagnose, inspect, troubleshoot, and commission generator systems, coordinating with customers, site teams, and engineering staff at power

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with assembly/disassembly of hydrogen-cooled generators.
• Experience with air-cooled and water-cooled generators (300 MW+).
• Proven in-situ bearing inspection, maintenance, and assembly.
• Expertise in turbine-generator alignment activities.
• Knowledge of brushless and static excitation systems.
• Experience HVB (High Voltage Bushing) assembly.
• Experience in generator overhauling, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Willingness to work at power plant sites and coordinate with customers and site/engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of turbine-generator mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
