Exide Energy Solutions Limited (EESL) seeks a Sourcing - Metal professional for the Prantij, Gujarat plant to establish and manage metal procurement for lithium-ion battery components.

You will develop sourcing strategies, evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor global metal markets while ensuring compliance with sustainability and IATF standards. This role collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Logistics teams.

Exide Energy Solutions Ltd is setting up Indias first Giga plant to manufacture Lithium Ion Cells in Prantij. Exide Energy Solutions Limited is looking for Sourcing - Metal in the Manufacturing organisation to achieve companys goal at the Prantij, Gujarat Location.

Job Location: Prantij, Gujarat

Roles and Responsibiliites:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for metals (e.g., steel, aluminum, copper,fabricated assy) aligned with business goals, market trends, and risk management principles
• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers. Manage performance, lead supplier reviews, and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead cost reduction initiatives through strategic negotiations, volume leverage, long-term agreements, and alternative sourcing strategies
• Monitor global metal markets, including pricing trends, trade regulations, geopolitical impacts, and industry developments. Provide regular forecasts and risk assessments to stakeholders
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure alignment on specifications, delivery timelines, and total cost of ownership
• Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards, including clauses on pricing, lead times, payment terms, and penalties
• Ensure responsible sourcing practices, including adherence to conflict mineral regulations, environmental standards, and corporate sustainability goals
• Strong understanding of metal markets, price indexes (e.g., LME,SIAM,MMR), and supply chain dynamics.
• Proven negotiation skills and experience with global suppliers.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Proficient in sourcing tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
• Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses, benchmark pricing, and lead commercial negotiations to drive cost savings
• Manage RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs from initiation through supplier selection and award, ensuring transparency and compliance
• Should costing & ZBC expert
• Responsible for IATF audit (zero NC) for related commodity
