Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day Core HR activities across the employee lifecycle.
  • Handle joining, onboarding, confirmations, transfers, promotions and settlements.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, screening, interviews and offers with functional heads.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives and feedback exercises.
  • Coordinate annual Training Needs Identification and training calendar.
  • Prepare HR MIS and dashboards; track metrics like attrition, attendance and costs.
  • Identify opportunities for digitisation and automation of HR processes.
  • Support Lean/Kaizen initiatives to reduce process cycle time and effort.
  • Ensure HR SOPs, policies and data confidentiality are followed.

Job description

Role & responsibilities
LOCATION- BHACHAU_GUJARAT
Job-Role:

To support and drive Core HR operations and employee-centric initiatives covering HR operations, Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, Learning & Development, HR analytics, management reporting, HR digitisation and process improvement. The role will also contribute to Lean HR initiatives and continuous improvement of HR processes to enhance operational efficiency, employee experience and overall HR effectiveness.

2. Key Responsibilities
A. Core HR Operations
  • Manage day-to-day Core HR activities across the employee lifecycle.
  • Handle employee joining, onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, movement, separation and Full & Final settlement processes.
  • Address routine employee queries and coordinate resolution of HR-related issues.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies, processes and guidelines.
B. Talent Acquisition (TA)
  • Manage and coordinate recruitment activities for identified positions in consultation with functional heads.
  • Prepare and maintain manpower requirements and recruitment trackers.
  • Coordinate sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, selection and offer processes.
  • Coordinate with recruitment agencies and other sourcing channels.
  • Maintain recruitment MIS and monitor key recruitment metrics.
  • Support initiatives for improving the quality and speed of hiring.
C. Employee Engagement
  • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives and employee-connect programmes.
  • Conduct employee engagement activities, events, surveys and feedback exercises.
  • Analyse employee feedback and identify areas requiring corrective/improvement actions.
  • Support employee recognition and appreciation initiatives.
  • Promote effective communication and employee participation across the organisation.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving employee experience, morale and retention.
D. Learning & Development (L&D)
  • Coordinate the annual Training Needs Identification (TNI/TNA) process.
  • Prepare and drive the annual training calendar in consultation with functional departments.
  • Coordinate internal and external training programmes.
  • Maintain training records, attendance and training effectiveness reports.
  • Track mandatory and compliance-related training.
  • Support competency development and skill enhancement initiatives.
  • Analyse training effectiveness and provide periodic L&D reports to management.
E. HR Analytics & Management Reporting
  • Prepare periodic HR MIS and management dashboards.
  • Develop and track HR metrics relating to manpower, absenteeism, attrition, recruitment, training, overtime, employee cost and engagement.
  • Analyse HR data and identify trends, gaps and areas requiring management intervention.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for monthly/quarterly management reviews.
  • Develop data-driven insights to support HR decision-making.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency and timely submission of HR reports.
F. HR Digitisation & Automation
  • Identify opportunities for digitisation and automation of HR processes.
  • Support implementation and optimisation of HRMS/HR digital platforms.
  • Digitise manual HR processes relating to employee records, attendance, leave, onboarding, recruitment, performance management and other HR transactions.
  • Coordinate with IT/HRMS vendors for system implementation, testing and issue resolution.
  • Develop automated HR dashboards and reports wherever feasible.
  • Drive adoption of digital HR processes among employees and managers.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve employee experience through technology.
G. Lean HR & Process Improvement
  • Support implementation of Lean principles within HR processes.
  • Identify process gaps, duplication, delays and non-value-added activities.
  • Undertake Kaizen/continuous improvement initiatives for HR processes.
  • Map existing HR processes and identify opportunities for simplification and standardisation.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce process cycle time, manual intervention and administrative workload.
  • Measure and report benefits achieved through HR improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a continuous improvement mindset within the HR function.
H. HR Operations & Process Governance
  • Ensure effective implementation of HR SOPs, policies and processes.
  • Monitor compliance with defined HR processes and timelines.
  • Maintain HR records and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate with Finance, IT, Administration and other functions for seamless HR operations.
  • Support internal and external HR audits.
  • Assist in preparation/review of HR policies, SOPs and process documentation.
  • Ensure timely closure of employee-related transactions and requests.
I. Employee Communication & HR Support
  • Act as an HR point of contact for employees for routine HR-related matters.
  • Communicate HR policies, processes, initiatives and organisational updates to employees.
  • Support managers in addressing employee-related issues.
  • Facilitate effective communication between employees and HR.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling employee matters.
Educational Qualification
  • MBA/PGDM in Human Resources / Personnel Management preferred.
  • Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
Experience
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing/plant environment.
  • Strong exposure to Core HR Operations and employee lifecycle management.
  • Experience in Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement and L&D.
  • Hands-on experience in HR MIS, analytics and management reporting.
  • Exposure to HRMS implementation, HR digitisation and process automation.
  • Exposure to Lean/Kaizen/continuous improvement initiatives will be an added advantage.
