Job summary

The Manitowoc Company in Pune, India is seeking a Finance professional proficient in SAP FI/CO to lead closing, costing, budgeting and compliance across inventory and operations finance.

You will support statutory audits, tax compliance, SOX controls, and cross-functional treasury and procurement processes. The role demands strong analytical skills, fluent English, and ability to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SAP FI/CO and Indian tax structure.
• Experience in balance sheet reconciliations and audits.
• Should understand costing activities including standard costing and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly closing of SAP FI & CO modules.
• Handle inventory closing and valuation; production order settlement & reclassification.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and P&L preparation.
• Resolve costing-related SAP/system issues and drive process improvements.
• Assist treasury with BG, LC and payment file reviews.

Job Description –

1. Financial Closing, Reporting & Compliance

• Manage monthly closing of SAP FI & CO modules
• Handle inventory closing (E&O, FIFO, valuation) and production order settlement & reclassification
• Address group reporting queries
• Support statutory and cost audits (schedules, financials, FAR) and perform break-even analysis)

2. Inventory & Operations Finance Management

• Control perpetual inventory and support physical verification
• Conduct inventory ageing analysis
• Support new inventory transactions in SAP
• Provide cost inputs for operational cost-saving initiatives

3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Costing

• Coordinate annual planning and P&L preparation
• Ensure accurate and timely forecasting submissions
• Manage standard costing, activity rates, surcharge rates, and inventory master data
• Execute annual standard cost runs and maintain costing for new/existing materials
• Prepare model-wise costing sheets

4. SAP, Costing & Process Improvements

• Resolve costing-related SAP/system issues
• Support product costing changes (including procurement scenarios)
• Drive initiatives like inventory automation and costing improvements

5. Cross-Functional & Treasury Support

• Support internal teams with financial and SAP costing-related queries
• Assist procurement in ensuring standard cost accuracy
• Handle material creation and cost updates in SAP
• Review BG, LC, and payment files and support treasury controls

6. Specialized skills:

• Good knowledge of Accounting and SAP
• Understanding of Indian tax structure (Direct & Indirect taxes) with knowledge of tax compliances
• Should understand and be able to perform Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Should have faced internal and external audits and be able to understand the SOX compliance requirements
• Should understand and be able to perform costing activities
