Job summary

Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. in Silvassa is seeking an EHS professional to drive safety, health and environmental programs across its manufacturing and service units.

The role emphasizes compliance with statutory requirements, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations to close corrective actions. You will organize trainings, safety campaigns and drills, monitor performance, prepare reports and coordinate with Corporate HSE, regional teams and regulators to implement ESG and safety

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Fire & Safety.
• Degree/Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by Govt.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in factory/maintenance & industrial safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements across units.
• Conduct inspections, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations; close CAPAs.
• Maintain statutory records and coordinate with regulatory authorities on EHS matters.
• Organize trainings, toolbox talks, safety campaigns, drills and awareness programs.
• Monitor EHS performance, prepare reports and drive improvements.
• Coordinate with Corporate/Regional HSE on audits, ESG, safety programs.
• Ensure emergency preparedness and implementation of health/safety/environment management systems.
• Any other task as assigned.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria (as of 29 September 2026):

• Minimum Qualification: Full Time Engineering Graduate [Mechanical / Electrical/Chemical/ Fire & Safety] with Degree / Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by Central / State Government which is as per UGC guidelines
• Minimum Experience: 02 years of post qualification experience in factory or in maintenance and in Industrial Safety.

SBU/Function/Vertical: Regional HR - West

Location: Silvassa

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with EHS statutory requirements, company policies, and applicable standards across assigned units.
2. Conduct EHS inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.
3. Maintain statutory records, compliance documentation, and coordinate with regulatory authorities on EHS-related matters.
4. Organize EHS trainings, toolbox talks, safety campaigns, mock drills, and awareness programs to promote a strong safety culture.
5. Monitor EHS performance, prepare reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Coordinate with Corporate HSE, Regional HSE, and unit teams for implementation of audit observations, sustainability initiatives, BRSR, ESG requirements, and safety programs.
7. Ensure emergency preparedness and effective implementation of health, safety, and environmental management systems across units.
8. Any other task as may be assigned from time to time.
