Job summary

Iquest Management Consultants is seeking a Deputy Manager - Design & Engineering to develop and design electronic circuits and systems, ensuring they meet performance and reliability requirements. You will generate specifications, ICDs, BOMs and wiring schemes while coordinating with product teams and manufacturing for timely delivery.

The role involves simulations, environmental and EMI-EMC testing, and aiding in trial protocols, documentation, and project timelines within a defence-focused

Qualifications

• Experience in defence industry is preferred.
• Ability to develop product specifications and design documentation.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-461 or similar standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design electronic circuits and systems per requirements.
• Generate SRS, ICD, BOM, General Arrangement, schemes and wiring charts.
• Perform environmental and EMI-EMC testing with government labs.
• Plan user trials, analyze data and recommend improvements.
• Provide design support to manufacturing and project stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain Design Documentation and qualification reports.

Job Title: Deputy Manger -Design & Engineering

Job Description: Develop and design electronic circuits and systems, ensuring they meet specified requirements for functionality and reliability. Development of Product Specifications, Selection & Evaluation of product as per design specification. Generation of Software Requirement Specification (SRS) for software design, Interface Control Document (ICD). Generation of Manufacturing documents (BOM, General Arrangement, Scheme, Wiring Chart, Installation Doc, and Assembly Instructions) for system & sub system. System Design and Development in compliance with JSS 55555 and MIL-STD-461 of equivalent Military standards. Plan and execute user trials to gather feedback on product performance and usability. Develop trial protocols and ensure adherence to testing procedures. Analyze trial data and prepare reports summarizing findings and recommendations. Work closely with product teams to implement improvements based on user feedback. Conduct simulations and testing of designs to verify performance and identify issues. Troubleshoot prototypes to ensure they meet design specifications. Technical support to manufacturing for design implementation. Design support for all ongoing as well as delivered projects. Design support for generation of Design Documentation. Environmental Testing and EMI-EMC Testing at Govt. Laboratories. Design Evaluation / Qualification as per design specification. Select appropriate components considering factors such as availability, cost, and obsolescence. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Assist in managing project timelines and deliverables, providing updates on design progress to project stakeholders. Qualification: B.E. Electronics / E&TC Experience: 6-12 Years (Defence Industry)
