Shashwath Solution is seeking an experienced Power Electronics Design Engineer. The role focuses on designing, simulating, and validating power electronics systems including high-voltage, high-current power supplies and related analog circuits.

You will develop hardware prototypes, perform rigorous testing and troubleshooting, and contribute to qualification and design reviews for aerospace/defence applications. Bengaluru-based, on-site, with opportunities to work on advanced power systems.

Qualifications

• At least 4–5 relevant projects completed in power electronics.
• Aerospace/defence power supply experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, simulate and optimize power electronic circuits (inverters, converters, chargers, AC/DC supplies).
• Model, simulate, analyze and verify circuits using MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, LTspice.
• Develop hardware prototypes and conduct testing, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
• Coordinate PCB layouts with HV/high-current paths, thermal management and parasitics.
• Select components for power electronics and analog circuits.
• Apply knowledge of power converter topologies, analog/digital circuits and control theory.
• Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, loads, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers.
• Prepare technical specs, schematics, BOMs, and derating/ATP/ATR reports.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Power Electronics Design Engineer with strong expertise in power electronics and analog circuit design, simulation, hardware development, testing, and troubleshooting. The candidate must have successfully completed at least 4-5 relevant projects and preferably have experience in aerospace or defence power supply systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, simulate, and optimize power electronic circuits, including inverters, converters, chargers, AC power supplies, and DC power supplies.
• Perform circuit modeling, simulation, analysis, and verification using MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, LTspice, or similar tools.
• Develop hardware prototypes and conduct hardware testing, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.
• Design or coordinate PCB layouts with a focus on high-voltage/high-current paths, thermal management, and parasitic minimization.
• Perform component selection for power electronics and analog circuit applications.
• Apply strong knowledge of power converter topologies, analog/digital circuits, and control theory.
• Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, AC/DC power supplies, electronic loads, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
• Prepare technical specifications, schematics, BOMs, hardware design documents, working principles, ATP, ATR, and derating reports.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of military standards and safety requirements.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-461E, MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-2164, MIL-STD-1629, and MIL-STD-217G.
• Experience coordinating qualification testing, thermal testing, EMI/EMC testing, and screening tests.
• Knowledge of reliability calculations, FMECA analysis, QTP, ATP, ATR, and design reports.
• Experience participating in customer Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR).
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance requirements.
• Experience in power supply design for aerospace and defence applications will be an added advantage.
