Job summary

Ciel HR invites an experienced Deputy Manager Cold Forging to lead production activities at Hosur plant. You will oversee cold forging, heading, extrusion, and tooling, ensuring targets and quality standards are met.

The role requires planning manpower and machines, coordinating with Tool Room, Quality and Maintenance, and driving continuous improvement through Kaizen and 5S.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in cold forging/heading processes.
• Experience in automotive/components/fasteners is preferred.
• Ability to plan manpower, machines and production schedules.
• Strong focus on productivity, quality and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily cold forging production and meet targets.
• Plan manpower, machines and production schedules.
• Oversee dies, tooling and related processes.
• Monitor quality, scrap and machine efficiency.
• Identify and solve production and process problems.
• Improve machine utilization, productivity and tool life.
• Coordinate with Tool Room for dies, punches and tooling.
• Coordinate with Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve issues.
• Reduce rejection, rework, material wastage and downtime.
• Support new product development and production trials.
• Implement Kaizen, 5S and continuous improvement.

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager Cold Forging to manage our production activities at the Hosur plant.

The candidate should have good experience in Cold Forging / Cold Heading, preferably in the Automotive / Auto Components / Fastener industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily cold forging production and achieve production targets.


• Plan manpower, machines, and production schedules.


• Handle cold forging, cold heading, upsetting, extrusion, trimming, and related processes.


• Monitor production, quality, rejection, scrap, and machine efficiency.


• Identify and solve production and process problems.


• Improve machine utilization, productivity, and tool life.


• Coordinate with Tool Room for dies, punches, and tooling requirements.


• Coordinate with Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve issues.


• Reduce rejection, rework, material wastage, and production downtime.


• Support new product development and production trials.


• Implement Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.


• Maintain production records and prepare daily/monthly reports.


• Lead and guide production engineers, supervisors, and operators.


• Ensure safety and quality standards are followed on the shop floor.
