Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager / Manager – Procurement to lead Indirect and Project Procurement activities for Phase-2 and ASRS projects. The role will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor development, techno-commercial evaluation, negotiations, cost optimization, and ensuring timely procurement aligned with project requirements.
The position will work closely with Engineering Projects, Finance, Quality, Operations, and Management to ensure effective procurement planning, budget control, project execution, and timely completion of procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Indirect and Project Procurement activities, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement.
- Drive strategic sourcing and vendor development across relevant procurement categories.
- Manage RFQ processes, techno-commercial evaluations, vendor comparisons, and commercial finalization.
- Lead price negotiations, cost reduction, and value optimization initiatives.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure procurement is aligned with approved project budgets.
- Manage the complete PR-to-PO procurement cycle, ensuring timely closure of requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, including:
- Vendor identification and selection
- Vendor performance evaluation
- Vendor development
- Issue resolution and commercial discussions
- Coordinate with Engineering Projects, Finance, Quality, Operations, and Management for procurement planning and execution.
- Monitor project procurement schedules and ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and services.
- Track procurement budgets, savings, MIS, PR/PO status, and overall procurement performance.
- Support project teams in resolving procurement-related issues and bottlenecks.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, quality requirements, and applicable procedures.
- Provide regular updates to management on procurement status, savings, vendor performance, budgets, and project timelines.

- Expertise in Vendor Development, Performance Management & Relationship Management.
- Strong experience in Project Procurement and Techno-Commercial Evaluation.
- Proven ability in Cost Reduction, Value Optimization and Budget Management.
- Strong understanding of Procurement Planning and PR/PO processes.
- Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and procurement systems.
- Strong capability in Procurement MIS, reporting and data analysis.
- Good leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement activities and project timelines simultaneously.
Educational Qualification
- Engineering Graduate from a recognized university/institute.
- Relevant procurement/supply chain certification would be an added advantage.
Experience
- 9–11 years of relevant experience in Procurement / Purchase.
- Strong experience in Project Procurement, Indirect Procurement and Engineering/Capex-related procurement.
- Experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management, techno-commercial evaluation and negotiations is preferred.
