Job summary

Adani Power Ltd. seeks an expert Project Planner to lead master scheduling for thermal power plant projects using Primavera P6 and MS Project.

You will develop Level 1–4 schedules, set milestones, and monitor timelines across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams. You will routinely create baseline plans, track variances, coordinate look-ahead and recovery schedules, and produce management reports.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling.
• MBA (Projects) / PMP Certification / Primavera P6 Certification preferred.
• Experience with master schedules and Level 1–4 planning.
• Strong coordination with EPC/Construction/Procurement and Commissioning teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain master project schedules for thermal power plant projects using Primavera P6/MS Project.
• Prepare detailed Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 project schedules.
• Establish project milestones and monitor adherence to project timelines.
• Develop baseline schedules and track schedule variance.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams for schedule integration.
• Prepare look-ahead plans, catch-up plans, and recovery schedules.
• Monitor project progress against baselines and perform critical path analysis.
• Generate MIS, dashboards, and progress reports for senior management.
• Manage interface with EPC contractors, consultants, vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Support cost & resource planning, budget monitoring, and earned value tracking.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans; maintain risk registers.

• Monitor physical and financial progress of projects.

Interface Management

• Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment of engineering deliverables with construction schedules.
• Track procurement status and critical equipment deliveries.
• Drive inter‑department coordination meetings and project review meetings.

Cost & Resource Planning

• Prepare resource deployment plans and manpower histograms.
• Support project cost monitoring and forecasting.
• Track project budget utilization and earned value metrics.
• Assist in project cash flow planning and forecasting.

Risk Management

• Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Monitor critical project activities and key milestones.
• Perform delay analysis and impact assessments.
• Maintain project risk registers and action trackers.

Reporting & Governance

• Present project status updates to senior leadership.
• Prepare monthly project review reports.
• Ensure compliance with project governance processes.
• Support management in strategic planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engg.
• Exp - 15-20 Years of relevant experience.
• Preferred: MBA (Projects) / PMP Certification / Primavera P6 Certification.
