Job summary

Adani Group is seeking an experienced Project Planning & Scheduling Expert to lead master schedules for thermal power plant projects using Primavera P6 and MS Project. You will develop Level 1–4 schedules, set milestones, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.

The role requires 15–20 years of relevant experience, a mechanical engineering degree (Diploma/BE/B.Tech), and preferred PMP/Primavera P6 certification or MBA (Projects).

• Strong planning, scheduling, and governance experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain master project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
• Prepare Level 1–4 schedules and establish milestones.
• Monitor progress against baselines and perform critical path analysis.
• Coordinate with EPCs, vendors, and internal teams for schedule integration.
• Forecast costs, resources, and earned value metrics.
• Prepare MIS dashboards and monthly project reviews.
• Present status to senior leadership and ensure governance compliance.
• Manage risk registers and mitigation actions.

Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Develop and maintain master project schedules for thermal power plant projects using Primavera P6/MS Project.
• Prepare detailed Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 project schedules.
• Establish project milestones and monitor adherence to project timelines.
• Develop baseline schedules and track schedule variance.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams for schedule integration.
• Prepare look-ahead plans, catch-up plans, and recovery schedules.

Project Monitoring & Control

• Monitor project progress against approved baselines.
• Conduct critical path analysis and identify schedule risks.
• Track project KPIs, productivity, and performance metrics.
• Generate MIS reports, dashboards, and progress reports for senior management.
• Analyze delays and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Monitor physical and financial progress of projects.

Interface Management

• Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment of engineering deliverables with construction schedules.
• Track procurement status and critical equipment deliveries.
• Drive inter-department coordination meetings and project review meetings.

Cost & Resource Planning

• Prepare resource deployment plans and manpower histograms.
• Support project cost monitoring and forecasting.
• Track project budget utilization and earned value metrics.
• Assist in project cash flow planning and forecasting.

Risk Management

• Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Monitor critical project activities and key milestones.
• Perform delay analysis and impact assessments.
• Maintain project risk registers and action trackers.

Reporting & Governance

• Present project status updates to senior leadership.
• Prepare monthly project review reports.
• Ensure compliance with project governance processes.
• Support management in strategic planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

Diploma/ B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engg.

Exp - 15-20 Years of relevant experience.

Preferred: MBA (Projects) / PMP Certification / Primavera P6 Certification.
