Job summary

Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes Manufacturing in Mundra, Gujarat is seeking a hands-on Deputy General Manager for Production & Operations to own the SS Pipes & Tubes manufacturing operations on the shop floor.

This high-impact leadership role drives production targets, lean improvements, safety, quality and cost control, while leading managers and shop-floor teams to deliver sustained productivity and profitability.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of strong manufacturing/production experience.
• Experience in SS Pipes & Tubes / Stainless Steel Pipe Manufacturing.
• Experience managing large production teams and high-volume operations.
• Exposure to process improvement, cost control, quality and EHS.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of SS Pipe & Tube production & plant operations.
• Drive aggressive achievement of daily, monthly & annual production targets.
• Maximize OEE, machine utilization, throughput, productivity & yield.
• Lead production planning, manpower deployment and capacity optimization.
• Reduce rejection, rework, scrap, wastage & material losses.
• Drive manufacturing cost reduction and improve overall plant profitability.
• Strengthen shop-floor processes through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S & Continuous Improvement.
• Ensure stringent control over process parameters, quality standards and customer specifications.
• Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Stores, Purchase & Dispatch for seamless operations.
• Drive reduction in machine downtime, bottlenecks and production losses.
• Ensure zero-compromise safety culture and compliance with EHS/statutory requirements.
• Establish strong KPI/MIS dashboards and review operational performance rigorously.
• Lead, mentor and develop production managers, engineers, supervisors & shop-floor teams.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement fast, sustainable corrective actions.
• Support capacity expansion, process improvement, new product development and automation initiatives.

WE ARE HIRING A SHOP-FLOOR LEADER WHO CAN DELIVER!

We are looking for a highly driven and hands-on DGM s Production & Operations to take complete ownership of SS Pipes & Tubes manufacturing operations.

This is a high-impact leadership role for a manufacturing professional who can drive production, productivity, quality, cost, safety and operational excellence s not just manage reports.

MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE

• 20+ years of strong manufacturing/production experience.
• Mandatory/strong preference for experience in SS Pipes & Tubes / Stainless Steel Pipe Manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on exposure to pipe manufacturing processes and shop-floor operations.
• Experience managing large production teams and high-volume manufacturing operations.
• Proven track record of delivering production targets and productivity improvements.
• Strong exposure to process improvement, cost control, quality and EHS.
• Excellent leadership, troubleshooting, decision-making and execution capabilities.

SS Pipes & Tubes | Stainless Steel Manufacturing | Welded Pipes | ERW / TIG / Laser Pipes | Steel Tubes | Metal Processing | Steel Manufacturing

QUALIFICATION

Any Graduate Degree / B.E./B.Tech Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy preferred.
