Deployment Engineer – Mechatronics
As a Deployment Engineer – Mechatronics, you will be responsible for physical deployment, calibration, testing, and field readiness of ERIC Robotics’ robotic systems.
This role focuses on mechanical, electrical, and electro‑mechanical integration during real‑world deployments and pilots.
This is a hands‑on field engineering role, not a desk‑only position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hardware & Mechanical Deployment
- Assemble and deploy robotic systems at client sites.
- Perform mechanical fitment, alignment, and mounting.
- Handle wiring, connectors, sensors, and actuators during deployment.
- Ensure system robustness under vibration, dust, and environmental conditions.
2. Calibration & Testing
- Perform sensor calibration: Cameras, LiDAR, Encoders, IMUs.
- Validate mechanical motion, sensor alignment, and system stability.
- Support field testing and acceptance trials.
3. Troubleshooting & Field Support
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical failures, electrical issues, and connector, cable, or mounting problems.
- Coordinate with software deployment engineers, design and manufacturing teams.
- Provide structured field feedback for design improvements.
4. Documentation & SOPs
- Create and follow deployment SOPs and assembly and calibration checklists.
- Maintain deployment and service reports.
- Support preventive maintenance planning.
Requirements
Technical Skills (Must Have)
- Diploma / Bachelor’s in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronics, or Instrumentation.
- Strong hands‑on experience with mechanical assembly, sensors and actuators, and basic electrical wiring.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Comfortable using hand tools and test equipment.
Good to Have
- Experience with robotics systems, field installations, and industrial equipment deployment.
- Basic understanding of Linux systems and ROS-based robotics (at a high level).
Benefits
- Real‑world robotics deployment exposure.
- Hands‑on mechanical and electrical integration work.
- Field ownership and execution‑focused role.
- Strong learning and growth opportunities.
