Job summary

TVS Electronics in Chennai seeks an experienced server administrator to install, configure and troubleshoot Dell PowerEdge Rack and Tower servers. You will diagnose hardware components and manage RAID with PERC, perform BIOS/firmware upgrades, and support Windows Server and Linux environments.

Responsibilities include remote management via iDRAC, server health checks, preventive maintenance, and timely resolution of incidents.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or related field.
• 23 years of hands-on experience supporting Dell Enterprise Servers.
• Experience in enterprise data center environments.
• Good knowledge of Dell PowerEdge Servers, RAID, iDRAC, Windows Server, and Linux.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Ability to work independently in SLA-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Configure and troubleshoot RAID using Dell PERC Controllers.

• Configure and troubleshoot iDRAC for remote server management.
• Perform server health checks, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics.

• Coordinate with Dell OEM Support for warranty cases and spare replacement.
• Update ITSM tickets and maintain service documentation.
