Job summary

NITYO is seeking a hands-on Data Centre Engineer to manage rack provisioning, OS setup, patching, hardening, and troubleshooting in Hyderabad. You will configure BIOS and iDRAC, perform Linux/Windows admin tasks, and coordinate with vendors to drive RCA for incidents.

The role requires practical experience with LVM, multipathing, OS tuning, and automation tools like Git, Ansible, and Terraform. You will also prepare high/low level designs and handover documentation for seamless operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Linux CentOS/RHEL and Windows administration.

Job description

• Should be hands on working in Datacentre like rack stacking, cabling, tracing and all pre provisioning tasks like IDRAC Config, BIOS settings etc.
• Hands on experience on various flavours of Linux CentOS/RHEL and Windows
• Capable of performing Linux LVM and Multipathing related tasks.
• Hands on experience on OS level Parameters changes
• Good in performing hardening tasks.
• Good in patching prerequisite verifications and performing Linux and Windows patching.
• Good troubleshooting skills expected and preparing the RCA for incidents.
• Capable of handling OS recovery scenarios.
• Good troubleshooting and vendor co-ordination skills for providing RCA.
• Good in preparing HLD/LLD/SOP/ As-Build/Handover documentations.
• Quick to provision the complete OS instances by using the available tools for patching and agent installations and explore automation options for all possible routine tasks.
• Working knowledge on any server Hardware like HP/CISCO/DELL and Storage Hardware of HPE/DELL/NetApp.
• Working knowledge of storage & backup applications will be an added advantage.
• softskills to co-ordinate with different stake holders
• Usage of Git, Ansible, Terraform and any tools for automation.
