About the Role
We are looking for a highly technical, execution-driven, and client-facing Technical Delivery Lead to lead our Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Automation, and AI initiatives across multiple client engagements.
This is not a traditional Project Manager role. We are looking for a hands‑on technology leader who can architect solutions, mentor engineering teams, solve complex technical challenges, and confidently represent the organization during client discussions.
A significant part of this role involves working with large-scale enterprise datasets containing crores of records, where performance, scalability, reliability, and optimization are critical. The ideal candidate should have experience designing and managing data pipelines, optimizing databases, and building analytics platforms capable of processing high-volume data efficiently.
The successful candidate will serve as the technical bridge between clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless project delivery while driving engineering excellence, innovation, and AI adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Lead the technical direction for Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Automation, and AI initiatives.
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Review solution architecture, database design, APIs, automation workflows, dashboards, and cloud infrastructure.
- Drive engineering best practices including code reviews, architecture reviews, documentation, and technical governance.
- Mentor Data Engineers, BI Developers, Automation Specialists, Python Developers, AI Engineers, and Analysts.
- Resolve complex technical challenges and guide teams toward scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Promote reusable frameworks, automation, and AI-first engineering practices across projects.
Client Consulting & Technical Solutioning
- Act as the primary technical point of contact (SPOC) for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Understand business problems and translate them into scalable technical and analytical solutions.
- Lead client meetings, technical workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution discussions.
- Explain complex technical concepts in a clear and business-friendly manner.
- Present solution architectures, prototypes, dashboards, analytics, and implementation roadmaps to stakeholders.
- Participate in pre-sales discussions, technical proposals, effort estimation, and solution design.
Delivery & Project Ownership
- Own end-to-end delivery of multiple technology and analytics projects simultaneously.
- Define project plans, milestones, resource allocation, priorities, and delivery timelines.
- Manage project risks, dependencies, and escalations while ensuring timely delivery.
- Drive Agile execution through sprint planning, stand‑ups, technical reviews, retrospectives, and delivery governance.
- Ensure projects are delivered with high quality, technical excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Data Engineering & Analytics Leadership
- Design and manage scalable data engineering solutions capable of handling millions to billions of records efficiently.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, APIs, and data integration frameworks.
- Work extensively with large enterprise datasets containing crores of records, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Optimize SQL queries, indexing strategies, partitioning, and database performance for large-scale analytical workloads.
- Build enterprise-grade dashboards, KPI frameworks, executive reporting systems, and self-service BI solutions.
- Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, security, and performance.
- Guide teams in transforming complex datasets into actionable business insights and decision‑ready recommendations.
AI, Machine Learning & Innovation
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI across products and client engagements.
- Build Proof of Concepts (PoCs), prototypes, and MVPs to validate new ideas and technologies.
- Work with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI APIs, RAG architectures, AI agents, and automation frameworks where applicable.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend practical implementations that create business value.
- Collaborate with leadership on product innovation and AI strategy.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead cross‑functional teams comprising Data Engineers, BI Developers, Automation Specialists, AI Engineers, Python Developers, and Data Analysts.
- Mentor junior team members on technical design, coding standards, architecture, debugging, communication, and client interactions.
- Conduct regular technical knowledge‑sharing sessions and code walkthroughs.
- Foster a culture of ownership, continuous learning, innovation, and engineering excellence.
- Help improve team productivity, delivery efficiency, and technical maturity.
Quality, Governance & Process Excellence
- Establish technical standards, review mechanisms, and quality control processes.
- Define coding standards, documentation practices, deployment processes, and technical governance.
- Ensure scalable, maintainable, and reusable solutions across projects.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, monitoring, and process optimization.
