Job summary

Delta Electronics India is seeking a Delivery/ Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain and repair UPS, PDU, panels and related electrical equipment across client sites. The role requires hands-on field work with strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 3–12 years of experience in data centers, critical facilities or industrial projects and is willing to travel for site assignments.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3–12 years of experience in electrical project execution, preferably in data centers, critical facilities, UPS systems or industrial projects.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours; Two-wheeler may be required for field roles.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site execution of UPS, PDU, battery and associated electrical systems.
• Review drawings, SLDs, layouts, wiring diagrams, equipment specs and method statements.
• Coordinate installation, cable laying, termination, earthing and electrical connections.
• Ensure work adheres to drawings, specs, ITPs and project schedule.
• Coordinate with civil, HVAC, BMS, fire & safety, ELV and other project teams.
• Installation and commissioning of UPS systems (modular and conventional).
• Installation and commissioning of PDU, MDB, SMDB/ Pannels and distribution equipment.
• Installation and commissioning of VRLA / lithium batteries and battery racks.
• Support pre-functional, functional, load bank testing and IST.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, LOTO, electrical safety standards and client procedures.

Job description

A Delivery/ Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of UPS / PDU /Panel and Other Electrical systems and associated electrical equipment.

This role is critical in ensuring uninterrupted power supply for businesses and institutions that rely on continuous operations.

Skills & Qualifications

• Education:

-Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

- Typically, 3–12 years of experience in electrical project execution, preferably in data centers, critical facilities, UPS systems or industrial projects.

• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and power electronics.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and system diagnostics.
• Hands on experience in handling PQ Analyser, Imagers, etc.
• Thorough knowledge of UPS and batteries both VRLA and LIB
• Capable to handle service and Projects
• Client Interaction, Soft Skills, and Operational requirements
• Effective communication and customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
• Two-wheeler (for field mobility) may be required in some roles.
• Must adhere to health and safety regulations and company standards.
• Occasional overnight stays may be required
• Field-based role with travel to client sites.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution:

• Manage day-to-day site execution of UPS, PDU, battery and associated electrical systems.
• Review approved drawings, SLDs, layouts, wiring diagrams, equipment specifications and method statements.
• Coordinate equipment installation, cable laying, termination, earthing and electrical connections.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, ITPs and project schedule.
• Coordinate with civil, HVAC, BMS, fire & safety, ELV and other project teams.
• Installation and commissioning of UPS systems, including modular and conventional UPS.
• Installation and commissioning of PDU, MDB, SMDB/ Pannels and associated distribution equipment
• Installation and commissioning of VRLA / lithium-ion battery systems, battery racks/cabinets and battery monitoring systems.
• Support pre-functional testing, functional testing, load bank testing and IST.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, LOTO procedures, electrical safety standards and client-specific data center procedure
