Job summary

Emerson is seeking a senior DCS/PLC Engineer in India to lead the full project life cycle from design to commissioning. You will design Boiler/BOP packages, perform process simulations, and ensure functional testing of control logics.

The role requires 10+ years of hands-on DCS/PLC experience, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate with vendors and sub-contractors. A degree in Engineering is essential, with strong reporting and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation & Control, or equivalent).
• Ten+ years of experience in DCS/PLC programming, engineering, and commissioning.
• Hands-on experience in DCS/PLC programming/engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written English; strong report writing.
• Ability to interface with vendors and sub-contractors.
• Ability to troubleshoot DCS/PLC control systems.

Responsibilities

• Own complete project life cycle from inputs analysis to FAT and commissioning.
• Design and implementation of Boiler/BOP packages (e.g., Ash Handling, FGD, Water Treatment).
• Process simulation, testing, and understanding of control narratives and schemes.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• You will be responsible for complete Project Life Cycle i.e. starting from inputs analysis, Design & Engineering, Testing & Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) followed by commissioning as per requirement.


• Design and implementation of Boiler / BOP, Packages (e.g. Ash Handling, FGD, Water Treatment, etc.)


• Process simulation & testing, Understanding of SAMA, Narratives, and control schemes


• Verification and functional testing of Logics


• Nurturing smooth collaboration and communication with all stake holder.

Who You Are:

Ten(10)+ years of experience inDCS/PLC programming, Engineering & commissioning, hands on experience inDCS/PLC programming. Excellent language and communication skills; both verbal and written. Ability to write reports & business communication. Ability to interface with vendors & sub-contractors. Ability to troubleshoot DCS/PLC control system.

For This Role, You Will Need:
