Job summary

Emerson in India is seeking engineers to lead design, implementation, and testing of power plant control systems. You will perform site data collection, I/O database setup, and participate in DRM, FAT, and post-FAT activities, while ensuring safety and quality across vendors and contractors.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience in power plant processes, commissioning, and project engineering, with strong knowledge of HRSG/Boiler/BOP controls and multiple PLC/DCS platforms.

Qualifications

• 4 years bachelor’s degree in ECE, EEE, I&C, E&I.
• Proven experience of 5 to 10 year of in Power Plant process, project engineering and commissioning.
• Process knowledge of HRSG, Boiler and BOP Control System.
• Control design, implementation, process sequencing and protection philosophies for sub-critical / super-critical fossil fired power plants and combined cycle power plants.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
• Proficiency with ISA and SAMA logic symbols, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics.

• Proficiency with one or more DCS/PLC platforms (e.g., ABB Pro Control / Bailey INFI 90 / Symphony Harmony, Yokogawa Centum VP / CS3000, Siemens T3000 / TXP, GE Mark V / VI, Mitsubishi DIASYS Netmation, Invensys, Honeywell TDC3000, MaxDNA, MetsoDNA, Alstom Alspa320, Allen Bradley / GE-Fanuc / Schneider / Siemens PLCs & SCADA etc.).
• Knowledge of datalinks (Modbus RTU / TCP-IP, ELC, Profibus,OPC).
