Job summary

Infosys in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced IBM DataStage Developer to design, develop and deploy complex ETL solutions. You will work on data staging, mappings and performance tuning for data warehouses and reporting platforms.

The role requires strong SQL skills, knowledge of Unix/Linux scripting and experience with scheduling tools. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and post-deployment support are key aspects of the job.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL solutions using IBM DataStage.
• Analyze requirements and convert them into technical ETL designs.
• Develop and maintain DataStage jobs, sequences and routines.
• Extract, transform, and load data to data warehouses and reporting platforms.
• Perform data mapping, validation and quality checks.
• Optimize ETL performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Work with Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, DB2 and PostgreSQL.
• Document deployment procedures and collaborate with analysts and architects.
• Support production releases and post-deployment support.

Job description

3-5 years of hands-on experience in IBM DataStage Development. Strong knowledge of ETL concepts, Data Warehousing, and Data Integration. Experience with DataStage Designer, Director, Administrator, and QualityStage. Expertise in developing parallel and server jobs. Strong SQL and database skills. Experience with data modeling concepts and data migration projects. Knowledge of Unix/Linux scripting. Understanding of job scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or Tivoli. Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies. Certification in IBM DataStage is an added advantage.
