Overview

Database Support Engineer - Weekend Night Shift (India) at TigerData (creators of TimescaleDB). TigerData is the fastest PostgreSQL platform for transactional, analytical, and real-time workloads. Responsibilities

• Work with customers across topics from basic administration of TimescaleDB to design, optimization, and implementation discussions.


• Manage support cases from inception to resolution.


• Develop and maintain close relationships with customers to help them succeed.


• Be curious, eager to learn, and continuously look for ways to improve our products, processes, and culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.


• Relational database experience at scale: administration, data modeling, query optimization.


• Experience with relational databases; PostgreSQL is a strong plus.


• Experience as a technical support professional with external customers.


• Strong aptitude to understand and learn new software products.


• Strong communication skills with the ability to express patience and empathy when troubleshooting complex technical concepts to a varied audience.

Other Helpful Skills

• Familiarity with TimescaleDB; test it before applying.


• Familiarity with cloud concepts and AWS, GCP, and Azure.


• Experience with relational databases, NoSQL databases, and data modeling tools.


• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, including best practices, query plan analysis, backups/restores, migrations, etc.


• A strong sense of curiosity and willingness to learn as you go.

Compensation: $50,000 USD per year
