Ideagen is seeking a Database Engineer II to join our Database Engineering team and support the critical database platforms that power our global portfolio of products. You will work on SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments, focusing on performance optimization, migrations, and automation.

In this role you’ll contribute to operational excellence, use AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive database modernization and reliability

Formación

• Solid experience in database engineering or a similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including performance tuning.
• Experience with backups, high availability, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, source control, and infrastructure automation.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver database maintenance, performance tuning, and migration activities across our database estate.
• Own medium-complexity work from requirements through to implementation and release.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production database issues while contributing to long-term improvements.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery, validating outputs for quality, security, and accuracy.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and database modernization initiatives.
• Write and maintain automated tests and validation checks as part of your definition of done.
• Participate in code reviews, providing thoughtful feedback and helping raise engineering standards.
• Work within CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and modern Git-based workflows.

At Ideagen, we’re looking for a Database Engineer II to join our Database Engineering team and help support the critical database platforms that power our global portfolio of products.

As a Database Engineer II, you will deliver database engineering work with increasing independence across SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments. You'll play a key role in database performance optimization, migrations, automation, and operational excellence while leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery and quality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver database maintenance, performance tuning, and migration activities across our database estate.
• Own medium-complexity work from requirements through to implementation and release.

Skills and Experience

• Solid experience in database engineering, database administration, or a similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and database operations.
• Experience with backups, high availability, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, source control, and infrastructure automation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous learning.
