Job summary

Ideagen is seeking a Director of Engineering, Database Engineering to lead strategy and delivery of our database capability across products. You will define architecture standards, drive resilience and security, and lead a team of engineers to deliver with confidence.

You will partner with Product, Platform, and Infrastructure leaders to modernize and automate the database estate, while focusing on talent development and scalable operating models.

• Proven experience leading a database or data infrastructure function.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, database resilience, disaster recovery, and security.
• Experience establishing technical standards and influencing multiple engineering teams.
• Demonstrated success building, developing, and retaining engineering talent.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the Database Engineering strategy across the business.
• Build, lead, and develop high-performing database engineering teams.
• Establish organization-wide standards for database architecture, performance, reliability, and security.

As the leader of Database Engineering, you will define and drive the vision for database architecture, performance, resilience, and reliability across the organization. Leading a team of highly skilled engineers, you'll create a scalable operating model that enables product teams to deliver with confidence while ensuring consistency, security, and operational excellence.
