Ideagen in Hyderabad is seeking a Software Engineer L2 to build and ship features across Workforce Safety. You’ll work mainly with PHP and SQL, validating AI-assisted outputs and owning end-to-end delivery of medium-complexity tasks.

You will contribute to testing, code reviews, and production support while collaborating with non-technical stakeholders. This role is office-based in Hyderabad with a growing, global product.

Formación

• Strong PHP development experience, ideally in enterprise SaaS.
• Solid SQL skills with production data.
• Front-end capability to build and troubleshoot forms and workflows.
• Experience with cloud-hosted environments and deployments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git workflows, automated testing and code reviews.
• Clear written and verbal communication with non-technical stakeholders.

As a Software Engineer L2, You’ll build and ship features across Workforce Safety with increasing end-to-end ownership. Working primarily with PHP and SQL, you’ll use AI coding tools on well-scoped, multi-step work, validate the output carefully and develop strong engineering habits across testing, code review and production support.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features across the platform.
• Own medium-complexity features from requirements clarification through implementation, testing and release.
• Direct AI coding tools on multi-step tasks and validate generated code and tests before pull request.

• Review other engineers’ code and provide constructive, specific feedback.
• Help triage and resolve production issues in the systems you work on.

Skills and Experience

• Strong PHP development experience, ideally within an enterprise SaaS environment.
• Comfort with modern PHP framework conventions across routing, data access, validation and background jobs.
• Solid SQL skills, including writing and tuning queries against production data.
• Basic front-end capability to build and troubleshoot forms and workflows end to end.
• Experience working in cloud-hosted environments, including deployments, logging and basic infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Comfort directing AI coding tools and validating their output for correctness and security.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git workflows, automated testing and collaborative code review.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including with non-technical stakeholders.
