Job summary

TekWissen Group in India invites a Database Developer to design, develop, modernize, and support enterprise-scale data platforms using SQL Server, ETL, Kafka, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Java, and DevOps.

You will lead ETL pipelines, migrate legacy solutions to Spark, build Kafka-based ingestion, optimize SQL Server, and design cloud-native apps on OpenShift. Mentoring teams and driving CI/CD are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise application development and data engineering.

• Strong experience on Kafka-based event ingestion and schema registry.
• OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker, cloud-native apps.
• SQL Server optimization, migration, data archiving & retention.

• Mentor teams and establish engineering standards.

Job Description:

• We are currently looking to hire a Database Developer with expertise in SQL Server, ETL, Kafka, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Java, and DevOps to design, develop, modernize, and support enterprise-scale data platforms and event-driven applications.

Key requirements for the position are as follows:

• Candidate must have strong experience in enterprise application development and data engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop enterprise-scale ETL pipelines.
• Modernize legacy ETL solutions to Spark, Sprint Batch.
• Build high-performance Kafka-based event ingestion platforms.
• Lead SQL Server optimization and database migration initiatives.
• Design cloud-native applications on OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Build resilient microservices using Spring Boot.
• Lead architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
• Mentor development teams and establish engineering standards.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• SSIS Development and Complex ETL Design.
• Strong Experience on Performance Tuning, Partitioning, Index Optimization, Query Optimization
• Experience on SQL Server Always On Availability Groups best practices, Database Migration& Data Archiving & Retention

Messaging & Event Streaming

• Strong experience on Apache Kafka, Avro Schema, Schema Registry
• Developing Kafka Producers & Consumers services and Kafka Performance Tuning
• Strong knowledge and experience on OpenShift (OCP), Kubernetes, Docker, Service Mesh (Istio), APIGEE, API Gateway, Avi Load Balancer, Cloud Migration,

DevOps

Automation

• Strong Experience on PowerShell, Autosys.

File Integration

• Strong experience on NAS, IBM NDM / Connect:Direct, Object Storage, Batch Processing

Observability tools:

• Have work experience and knowledge on Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus,AppDynamics, Linborg.
• Good to have Java Development experience with SpringBoot, Rest APIs and Microservices
